Finlay Wood

I'm Finlay, and I live in Boulder County, Colorado. I am a proud father of two older kids, a husband, a cancer survivor, an ultra-runner, and a woodworker. During my 25 years in the corporate world, I have successfully built large multinational teams with a culture-first focus.

I spent the first 17 years of my life in Stirling, Scotland. Since then, it feels like I have been constantly on the move - geographically, career-wise, and personally. After graduating from Edinburgh University with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with Management, I moved to England, followed by Savannah GA, and have now settled in the wonderful foothills of the Rocky Mountains - in Louisville CO.

My career has been immensely fulfilling. I quickly moved from engineering-focused roles, into sales, marketing, and then into leadership positions. This is where I found my true passion - working with individuals to help them identify and remove blockers - hence performing at their best. Throughout my career, I found that the more time I spent working with others, the more fulfilling I found my job. So it was a natural step to move into coaching - and hence why I spent my time and effort on gaining my coaching certification through iPEC. 

 The iPEC coaching philosophy is to coach beyond the situation. We dig deeper and understand that to realize your true potential we need to access deeper self-awareness and raise our level of consciousness.  I specialize in helping people navigate change in all its myriad forms. Whether that is unplanned change, such as health issues, job changes, or family changes. Or, it could be that you crave change but don't know why, or what should be next. Whatever the situation, we will work together to successfully navigate whatever life is thrown your way.
